Description :

Recent telecommunication systems present a great variety of communication standards such as GSM, UMTS, evolved UTRAN or Wi-MAX .These standards use a great variety of complex modulation with different envelops of time varying signals and amplitude with higher peak to average ratio.

New architecture will be developed based on the concept of software design radio (SDR). Also, multi- standards base stations require developing wideband re-useable BTS not available nowadays. This project has as objective to develop an innovative architecture combining wideband, power and linearity.

This project will use GaN HEMT power technology to demonstrate wideband amplifier from 1.9 to 3.8 GHz. Moreover, this project will propose a focus on the development of an active supply unit to manage at the best the consumption of the RF power part.
