Several factors account for these new risks in terms of:

  • Complexity & Vulnerability
  • People concentration and mobility (moving crowds)
  • Dependency upon complex technical infrastructures (transport, health, manufacturing, trade, finance)

This target market’s research and experimentation priorities are to:

  • Increase operational security by developing innovative systems and equipment toprotect critical infrastructures, manage crises, etc.
  • Secure sensitive information systems with new technologies and methods of proof and trust
  • Pool the development of critical digital technologies and software for a double-barrelled response to civil and defence needs
